Rentco is a leading privately owned Heavy Transport Equipment Rental Company with branches across Australia. We’re looking for a Fleet Assistant to join our growing rental operations team.
About the Role
This is a dynamic role involving both office administration and yard duties. You'll support our fast-paced rental department, handling short- and long-term truck and trailer rentals.

Monday to Friday, minimum 38 hours per week

Reports to Operations Supervisor/Manager
Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound calls and assist customers

Prepare rental reservations & quotes

Inspect equipment for collection and return

Process bookings, payments & security bonds
-
Record and follow up on missed rental opportunities

Ensure customer compliance with company policies
-
Communicate equipment damage to the workshop

Maintain a high standard of safety & customer service

Customer liaising via phone, face to face & emails

Data entry into InspHire
-
Prehire write ups & photo's
-
De hire write ups & emails
-
Filing Prehire write ups
-
Fueling vehicles
-
Moving HV's
-
In yard documentation of Hire equipment (outside work)

Eye for detail
What We’re Looking For
-
Experience in heavy transport or rentals (preferred)

Strong customer service & organisational skills
-
Computer literate (training provided)
-
Confident, team-oriented, and proactive attitude
-
Ability to work independently & in a team
-
Physically fit for yard duties
-
HC Licence is a plus but not required
