We are seeking a Procurement Advisor to provide support for our Procurement and Commercial Department.

This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn North in line with our hybrid working model.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager Procurement Governance & Support, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

  • Assist with, coordinate and accurately record procurement compliance across the organisation with all legislative requirements and frameworks
  • Facilitate procurement services state-wide by resolving enquiries, providing information and options for internal and external enquiries, producing correspondence and initiating responses as appropriate
  • Provide advice regarding the options available for supply of goods and services including use of contracts where available or the type of procurement process to be undertaken and responsibilities
  • Contribute to maintaining procurement capability across the organisation with preparing and delivering training as required including systems guidance (from the Quality and Patient Experience element)
  • Create and produce reports, briefings, high level papers and documentation matters ensuring content is reflected accurately and submitted within the required timeframe

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess a degree or relevant industry certification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience in procurement/commercial activities or project/office management. Other requirements include:

  • Experience providing procurement support and coordination in a large and complex organisation (Victorian Government desirable)
  • Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed understanding of Microsoft Office suite applications, with superior computer skills
  • Oracle experience (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing documentation and preparation of reports
