The Role
The Governance and Controls team comprises of a small APS team, providing support to all areas of the Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) Branch.
The Deputy Director Governance and Controls will be expected to:
- Provide policy/legislative advice
- Oversee personnel responsible for information management, security, branch financial management including contract and procurement
- Support coordination of engagements and secretariat duties to committees/working groups
- Provide analysis of Program performance against agreed plans, and assist in planning Program activities including schedule, risk, budget and resources
- Providing advice and support to IAMD committees, and Whole-of-Government engagement.
IAMD was highlighted as a capability priority in the National Defence Strategy 2024. The IAMD Branch is responsible to the Chief of Air Force for providing advice on Integrated Air and Missile Defence. IAMD compromises of five directorates, Governance and Controls, Emerging Capabilities IS&T, IAMD Program Strategy & Engagement, Airborne C2 & HF Sensing (AIRC2/HF) and Air Defence C2 (ADC2). Together, the IAMD Program will deliver a range of new capabilities that enable situational awareness, command & control, and responses to mitigate air and missile threats to ADF forces and broader national interests.

- Have experience in financial, procurement, governance delegations, processes and policy.
