An opportunity is now available for casual Assistants in Nursing to join the team at Lithgow Health Service.

As an AIN your role will provide support to the nursing team in an acute care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse/Midwife as well as provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife.

Working with the dedicated team at Lithgow Hospital you will be supported by both Registered and Enrolled Nurses, and also receive Education and Support provided by Clinical Educators.

Selection Criteria
  1. Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care)
  2. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  3. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide a person centred approach to patient care
  4. Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
  5. Previous recent experience working in an acute care setting
  6. Demonstrated evidence of complying with Immunisation category A
  7. Ability to work a rotating roster across 7 days week (morning, evening & night shifts)

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
