The Employer is a Restaurant, a great local eating place in Daylesford and serving their customers Breakfast and Lunch.
It is a restaurant, a bakery and a coffeehouse all rolled into one and is seeking a talented Chef to bring their creativity and expertise to the employers bustling kitchen. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute delectable, innovative dishes in line with the restaurant's culinary concept.
- Oversee the kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency meet high standards.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine menu offerings, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food costing to maintain profitability while minimizing waste.
- Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef in a reputable restaurant or culinary establishment.
- Proficiency in a wide range of cooking techniques and cuisines, with a focus on quality and creativity.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a culinary team.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
Qualifications: to excel in this role, you should possess;
- Minimum 1-years proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Minimum Certificate in International or Commercial Cookery
