At Beca we make everyday better for our clients, our people and our community and your involvement makes it possible. With a team of close to 800 in Australia and an ambitious plan for growth, our size and agility mean you’re not just on the fringes; you’re making a visible difference, partnering to develop and deliver solutions from the ground up.
As a people-focused business, we understand that work-life balance means a lot of different things to different people and that it’s not always easy juggling work with everything else life throws at us. This is why we are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements for all opportunities in the Beca team.
Join our People and Culture Team
Our awesome People & Culture team shares a passion for sourcing, engaging, and developing the talented thinkers, creators, planners, and practitioners who are critical in collectively taking Beca forward into our second century.
Based in Melbourne, working as part of our Trans Tasman People Advice team you will be part of our respected People and Culture team, who are front and centre of Beca’s Australian growth strategy.
Our People Advice team are the first point of contact for all P&C generalist queries for the Australian and New Zealand businesses. We strive to ‘make everyday better’ by delivering exceptional customer service for our employees and people leaders. As a team, we rally together for support and understand that problems are best overcome together – we are also able to have fun and a good laugh along the way.
This opportunity is for a People & Culture Advisor to join People Advice part of the wider People & Culture team. You will be providing a high level of internal customer service by responding to people-related queries while building the capability of our people leaders, coaching them through employee relations case work and supporting with training sessions, change management processes and projects. You will also be the face of our graduate programme in Australia, which includes organising events and supporting onboarding. In addition, you will work directly alongside People & Culture Business Partners supporting areas of the business on anything people related.
This role is a full-time fixed-term parental leave contract through to August 2026.
About You
You will have gained a solid generalist background from a similar Advisor or Coordinator role, with sound knowledge of Australian employment practices and legislation. Knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation is not critical but would be helpful. You have a “can do” attitude, passionate about creating and building connections across all levels of the organisation. Practical and logical, you don’t shy away from tricky conversations, thriving on working ‘in the grey’ and guiding toward solutions. Delivering professional, timely service is important to you. You love to get involved and support the team, taking an active role and contributing to the culture of our team.
