We are currently seeking candidates from Senior through to Principal levels to support the continued growth of our Planning & Approvals team in Queensland. Whether you're looking to take the next step in your career or bring your established expertise to a leadership role, we have opportunities available to match your skills, interests, and career goals.
In these roles, you will contribute to a diverse range of projects across environmental impact assessments and land-use planning, helping to guide major infrastructure projects in the transport, water, power/renewables, and property sectors through the planning and approvals process.
We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment with the option to work from any of our South East Queensland offices (Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast) and remotely up to two days per week.
What You’ll Do
Depending on your level and experience, your role may include:
Supporting and delivering environmental assessment and planning projects, including EIS, SSI, SSD, MID, and REFsBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships across both public and private sectorsContributing to work winning and business development, including the preparation of competitive and compelling fee proposalsLeading and mentoring team members, supporting their development and contributing to a positive team cultureProviding expert advice on large-scale local and national infrastructure projects such as:Renewable energy (generation and transmission)Transport infrastructure (road, rail, and transition to Net Zero)Water and utilities projectsProperty developments and broader land use planning initiativesCollaborating with a diverse range of technical specialists including ecologists, acousticians, contaminated land scientists, engineers, and designers
Recent Projects Include
Strategic environmental assessments of emerging renewable energy technologies such as offshore wind, pumped hydro, and hydrogenPlanning approvals for iconic infrastructure projects including the Beaufort Bypass, Inland Rail, and large-scale energy transition projects like EnergyConnect and the Central West Orana REZSupporting the rollout of Fast Rail initiatives and Zero Emissions Bus transitions
About You
You’re passionate about environmental planning and approvals, with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes for clients and communities.
You Will Likely Bring
3–15 years of experience in environmental planning and approvals (we have roles available for various levels)Proven experience leading or contributing to major projects and approval strategiesA sound understanding of Queensland's environmental assessment frameworks and planning legislationDemonstrated ability to manage or support complex, multidisciplinary projectsStrong communication skills and an interest in mentoring others (for more senior candidates)A collaborative mindset and a desire to contribute to a high-performing, growing team
