Employment Term: Permanent Part Time

Location: Auchenflower, just 5 mins from Toowong Shopping Village and 10 mins from Brisbane City

Remuneration: $55.63- $59.61/ hr + 11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

Your part in The Wesley Breast Clinic team

You will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes.

You will deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, applying outstanding communication and customer service skills. Join a team of skilled Breast Care Nurses and Enrolled Nurses who are passionate about breast care.

Shifts for this role will be rostered to work between 7am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. However, this may be subject to change dependant on the needs of the clinic. This position could require the successful applicant to also provide coverage up to a full-time capacity when necessary to cover periods of leave.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Coordinating Breast Screening and MRI clinics

  • Clinical floor coordination - Diagnostic clinic

  • Patient coordination

  • Liaising with Breast Physicians, Breast Surgeons and Breast Radiologists.

  • Assisting with procedures (Hookwire/Savvy Scout Localisations, Vacuum Assisted Biopsies stereotactic and under MRI)

  • Management of Contrast Enhanced Mammography Patients

  • Breast Cancer Risk assessments for patients

  • Supporting patients (High risk pts, Newly diagnosed pts)

  • Providing patient resources

  • Overseeing Enrolled Nursing staff

  • Attend Breast MDT meetings

What makes a difference for us?

  • Minimum 12 months post graduate experience in Breast Nursing

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration

  • Australian Working Rights (We are unable to provide sponsorship)

  • Post Graduate Certificate in Breast Cancer Nursing or working towards

  • Previous breast screening experience desirable

  • Experience in clinical breast examination desirable

  • IV cannulation desirable

  • Flexibility to cover sick and annual leave

  • Desire for ongoing professional development

  • Proven patient-centred focus on safety and quality of care

  • Flexibility to work a varied roster
