If you are an overseas qualified Social Worker, you are required to have your qualifications assessed by the AASW to meet the position criteria.
Where you'll be working
This role covers both the St George and Sutherland Community Mental Health Services, based at Sutherland Mental Health Service, located on The Sutherland Hospital campus, Caringbah.

Selection criteria:
- Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award Current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer; Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA including relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation; Recognised 4 year degree in Psychology, along with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).
- Awareness and understanding of the current issues affecting mental health consumers and their carers.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in community development and community education.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in partnership with local services.
- Demonstrated experience in service or interagency project co-ordination.
- Experience working in a mental health setting and demonstrated commitment to consumer participation and a recovery focus
- Current class C driver’s licence
