Description:

Join Rheem as a Junior Product Design Engineer in R&D, focusing on design documentation, prototyping, and project development.

Your role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and maintain technical specifications, CAD models, engineering drawings, test specifications, and bills of material.
  • Support the evaluation and refinement of new and modified product designs.
  • Assist in managing product development projects within the organization's Product Development Process.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and product approval requirements.
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining product manuals, installation guides, and technical data sheets.

About you

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player with:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (Preferred Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics or similar).
  • Internship or project experience in product design and development is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in 3D CAD modelling with Inventor.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good business sense with a goal-focused work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desirable but not essential: Experience in water heater technology, materials science, and electrical/electronic design, and working with Australian and International Standards.
