What are we looking for?
Our head office in Melbourne CBD is now seeking a bright and enthusiastic Lawyer (1-5+ PAE) to join our national public liability team.
This rare and exciting opportunity is now available for a proactive, passionate and results driven lawyer who wants to specialise in public liability. You will be working as a part of the largest and preeminent public liability team in Victoria.
Our public liability lawyers assist clients for many injuries incurred that result because another party has breached their duty of care. Some may include: slips and trips on public or private property; unsafe premises (such as balconies, stairs or walking surfaces); dog or animal attacks; physical assaults; defective products (or services); Sporting accidents (including recreational and adventure activities); injuries on private property including rental properties or health and fitness injuries (such as massage or personal training).
In addition to taking on a wide range of challenging legal matters, this role will also see you manage and strengthen existing community relationships along with initiating and building new networks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a diverse file load of public liability cases
- Continually exploring new opportunities for your practice and developing new business
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Exceptional negotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously
