Job Title: Sales Manager Location: Flexible (ideally Armidale or Townsville) | Hybrid work model (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH) Reports To: DirectorAbout the Role We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Sales Manager to take ownership of our growing sales and account management function. Reporting directly to the Director, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment and is passionate about leadership, team building, and driving results. You’ll be instrumental in developing the structure of the sales team, hiring and mentoring account managers, and improving sales performance through training and accountability. This is a key role with future potential for input into incentive design, including a commission structure and quarterly bonuses. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director to define and implement sales strategy and structure
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of Account Managers
- Provide ongoing coaching, support, and performance management to the sales team
- Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement
- Re-engage and retrain current Account Managers with a strong focus on sales execution
- Guide internal team members interested in transitioning into sales roles
- Oversee strategic reporting and provide regular performance insights to leadership
- Maintain oversight of approximately 65 client accounts across regional QLD and NSW
- Attend relevant industry events (e.g. Telstra events in Sydney) as needed
- Proven experience in sales leadership, preferably in MSP environments or a technical field
- Strong background in team building, coaching, and strategic planning
- Ability to work autonomously while aligning with broader business goals
- Comfortable with hybrid working; willingness to travel occasionally (especially to Armidale or Townsville)
- Technical understanding of Telstra-aligned services is a plus
- Spend time face-to-face with key leadership to understand the business
- Gain a deep understanding of our product offering and client landscape
- Begin building trust and rapport with the existing team
- Assess current sales processes and identify quick wins for improvement
- High level of autonomy and input into building the future of the sales team
