The RoleThis pivotal senior position will drive national market expansion by managing tier 1 clients across banking and financial services sectors, focusing primarily on NSW, VIC and QLD markets. You will identify and convert new business opportunities while nurturing long-term client relationships within these lucrative sectors. The role includes mentoring the existing Business Development Manager and developing a high-performing team under your leadership.
Key Responsibilities• Strategically identify and secure new business opportunities with tier 1 banking and financial services clients• Design and execute targeted sales strategies across your portfolio• Provide mentorship to the existing Business Development Manager while building your team• Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer requirements• Lead recently launched pilot projects with tier-1 banking clients • Craft and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and client solutions• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic pricing to secure valuable long-term partnerships• Deliver insightful performance analytics and reporting to the executive team• Work seamlessly with marketing, product development, and innovation teams
Skills & Expertise• 8+ years of proven experience in business development or sales within payment (hardware & software), banking and financial services sector• Established industry network and relationships that can accelerate new business acquisition• Superior negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities• Demonstrated success in new business generation, revenue growth, and client relationship management• Self-motivated professional who thrives independently while contributing effectively to team objectives• Willingness to conduct monthly interstate travel• Results-driven with a passion for business development and client success
