Project Description:Supporting arguably the most technologically advanced Australian bank as they consolidate and modernize their entitlements capabilities into a singular greenfield platform to manages security access for customers and staff. This multi-year greenfield project leverages cutting-edge technologies to maintain the bank’s position as an industry leader. As part of a dynamic, engineering-driven team, you’ll contribute to building a modern, scalable platform that powers secure banking operations.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain critical Service Domain APIs using C# and .NET, enabling seamless integration across the bank’s entitlements ecosystem. - Adopt a DevSecOps mindset to build, test, and deploy secure, high-quality solutions, ensuring robust integration with other platforms. - Adhere to the bank’s coding, security, and compliance standards to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions. - Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment by actively sharing knowledge and maintaining open communication with technology and business stakeholders. - Collaborate effectively across global time zones using documentation, video conferencing, and asynchronous communication tools. - Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, embracing automation and innovative problem-solving.
Mandatory Skills Description:Technical skill/competence/experience: • 4+ years of hands-on experience with C# in .NET Framework or .NET Core, including building and consuming RESTful APIs (e.g., ASP.NET Web API). • Strong expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures and Service Domain APIs. • Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). • Solid back-end development skills, with experience handling complex data structures and semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, XML). • Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization principles (e.g., OAuth, JWT). • Practical experience with DevSecOps practices, including building, running, and supporting CI/CD pipelines. • Excellent debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning skills. • Experience with unit, integration, and non-functional testing.
Soft skill/competence/experience: • Self-motivated problem-solver with a passion for designing and delivering high-quality, secure solutions. • Excellent communicator, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide constructive feedback. • Proactive contributor to agile software development practices, including design, implementation, and deployment. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:• Experience with AWS ECS for container orchestration. • Familiarity with identity and access management platforms like PingFederate or SailPoint. • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate). • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins, or Octopus Deploy. • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or IBM MQ. • Knowledge of relational database programming, preferably with Oracle. • An automation-first mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
