Retail Manager-Far North Queensland-Coastal Location
We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager for this busy venue in remote Queensland.
This is a very hands on Retail Manager role, and the successful candidate will have previous retail, stock control, stock ordering, and merchandising experience.
The venue has gaming machines, busy public bar, restaurant and detached bottleshop.
Despite the distance from other major cities, this vibrant and sustainable coastal community offers most of the facilities and conveniences of modern living. Package Details:
$85,000 - $95,000 Salary + Super
FREE Accommodation & Nightly Duty Meal
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the bottleshop, ensuring excellent customer service and efficiency
• Lead, mentor, and train bottleshop staff to provide outstanding service and product knowledge
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers and promote new products
• Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock levels to minimize waste and optimise sales
• Engage with customers, providing recommendations and creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
• Collaborate with other departments to organise events and promotions that enhance customer experience

Candidates Must Have:

• Proven experience in a hospitality or retail management role, preferably in a bottleshop or liquor store with merchandising experience
• Strong knowledge and passion for the industry
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect with customers and staff
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing inventory & operations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands
• Hold or be able to obtain a QLD RMLV & QLD Approved Managers
• Ability to work unsupervised with time management skills
• Ability to think outside the square
