The Role
This is a unique role and the first of its kind at Connect2Care. Connect2Care is a national leader in allied health, proudly partnering with schools and community organisations to support children and adults with diverse needs. We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to join our growing team, supporting students across preschool, primary, and secondary school environments, as well as community-based programs serving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This is a dynamic role ideal for a clinician passionate about collaborative, culturally sensitive and education-focused care.
While we have an established community-based team of allied health professionals within the NDIS, this role will be based only in the school setting (e.g. preschool, primary and secondary). This role provides a unique opportunity to work with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander local communities and to provided much-needed inclusive services and education to our local students, teachers and educators within the school setting. You will have the opportunity to work alongside state and federal based funding programs and non-for-profit organisations etc.
As a therapist at Connect2Care, you will be joining a multidisciplinary team. You will provide evidence-based services to students and educators / teachers through multiple service delivery models, including telehealth, community visits & centre-based services (schools and Connect2Care hubs). It is a mobile role, with the option to work from home or our hubs when not seeing clients. The role will involve the following:
- Assessing and providing interventions 1:1 for children & adults living with a range of disabilities and in the school/education setting (preschool, primary and secondary schools)
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to implement evidence-based communication strategies etc.
- Offering upskilling and professional development for educators to embed communication strategies in the classroom.
- Assisting clients and school educators/teachers with assistive technology assessment, recommendations and applications (in relevant fields).
- Writing timely, high-quality documentation and reports to support education funding submissions and program recommendations.
- Staff education and upskilling / Professional development to lead educators and teachers
- Managing a varied caseload aligned to school and student-specific goals.
- Attending school-based and internal team meetings, supervision and clinical development sessions.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders including families, educators, support coordinators and community leaders.
- Working across leading software platforms and digital tools to streamline service delivery and reporting.
- Managing a varied caseload and individual school goals and intervention.
- Meeting company professional expectations (e.g. meeting billable & effective client management)
- Working across leading software platforms & online tools

Requirements
To apply for the role, you will need to have or be able to obtain the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in related field
- Preferred Experience for this role: Inclusion and cultural diversity training and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Discipline-specific professional registration (e.g. AHPRA/SPA)
- Working with Children Check (WWCC or Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Police Check & International Police Check (only applicable to individuals who have lived overseas)
- Drivers licence & access to a reliable vehicle
