Sustainable Pty Ltd is a small Design & Construction company, delivering design-led, award-winning sustainable homes across south-east Queensland. With over 30 years’ experience in the industry, we have assisted over 25 trainees and apprentices to gain the necessary training and skills to kickstart their career within a close-knit team and diverse business environment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic trainee to join our team full-time in Business Administration / Reception at our head office in Karana Downs (4306).
About the Role:
While gaining on-the-job experience you will also complete a Certificate III in Business Administration. General day-to-day duties include:
- Answering phones
- Sending / responding to emails (shared inbox management)
- Filing and archiving
- CEO personal assistance (e.g., booking appointments, etc.)
- Assisting team members with administrative duties
- Assist in preparing and formatting documents / generating reports
- Manage office supplies and orders
- General cleaning and other ad hoc administrative duties, as required
Role Requirements:
- Currently enrolled or willing to enrol in a Certificate III in Business Administration
- Be available to work normal business hours
- Must have a driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle / transport (there is no public transport near us) *If you do not have your driver’s license yet, we require that you have reliable transport every day
- Someone with a friendly and positive outlook and looking for an opportunity to launch their career with a focused willingness to learn and contribute within a team
Learning Qualities and Outcomes we are looking for:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organised business administration skills with attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and related software / technology
- Capable of working unsupervised and within a small team environment
- Capacity to handle pressure and work to deadlines
- Passionate commitment to assist and help grow the business
