Glenorchy City Council is seeking a Graduate Lawyer who is passionate about delivering quality and timely legal and governance services for our community. We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Lawyer to become part of our dynamic Governance and Risk team at Glenorchy City Council.You will work alongside experienced professionals. You will also be provided with the opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career in a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities will include; legal research, drafting advice, providing advice, assisting in audits and general administration.

The successful candidate will have;
Academic qualifications in law (pre-admission candidates will be considered, applicants who hold a current practising certificates or about to complete a Practical Legal Training Course.Excellent analytical, drafting and communication (verbal and written) skills, with superior attention to detailExcellent typing skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Willingness to learn and ability to take initiative in their own workStrong data management, analytical, interpersonal and organisational skillsA team player who enjoys working in a close-knit office environment
