Salary Range Band 7 $107,570 to $120,376 plus 11.5% super
Fixed Term Parental Leave backfill – June to 19 September 2025

What’s the role all about
Are you a passionate and driven transport planner looking to contribute to the successful delivery of a large range of projects that will benefit our community? This exciting and varied role will see you utilise your design skills and strategic thinking to provide expert advice to a range of projects and future planning.
This short-term role will see you lead transport investigations for major projects to improve options for cycling, walking and public transport use in line with our Move Connect Live – Integrated Transport Strategy 2018-2028.
What you might do
Drive promotion of mode shift in an inner-city environment with a rapidly growing population
Coordinate strategic transport planning advice on an interesting array of Council projects
Build and manage strong collaborative relationships across the organisation
Who we are looking for
Expert knowledge in applying principles of integrated transport planning preferably at a local government level.
Proven ability to scope and complete complex and integrated transport investigations and analysis
You will be purpose driven, people-focused and have a discerning eye for ways to make progress with innovative solutions on a project, precinct, network and city-wide basis.
Your results driven approach and passion for delivery better transport options will help you build and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally
A relevant tertiary qualification in transport planning, urban planning, engineering or closely related field and experience in transport planning.
