About us

The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a self-funded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. About the role

The Senior Manager, Strategic Governance is responsible for leading strategic corporate planning, performance and reporting, business continuity and internal compliance assurance functions.This position will drive the evolution of the Authority's Strategic Governance and business continuity frameworks by collaborating with internal stakeholders and ensuring both proactive identification of issues and the development and implementation of solutions to achieve corporate objectives and obligations.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a demonstrated experience leading a corporate planning, reporting and/or assurance function within a government and/or regulated environment. You don't need to be an expert in every area, but you must be an accomplished strategic leader with the ability to learn quickly, accept responsibility to prevent and/or overcome challenges to ensure delivery on objectives.

Embedded in your skill set will be an excellent ability to think strategically, solve complex problems and depth of knowledge on the development of and execution of corporate projects within regulated frameworks.Your leadership and interpersonal skills will be highly developed with a strong ability to influence and work collaboratively across multifunctional teams to achieve business outcomes.
