About the Role:

Dairy Australia and Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) are seeking a dynamic and experienced CalfWays Co-innovation Lead to drive the development and implementation of the CalfWays Sustainable Dairy Calf Management Roadmap on a 3 year fixed term basis.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a cross-sectoral initiative that strengthens partnerships between the dairy and beef industries creating sustainable, value-driven outcomes for surplus dairy calves.

The role will focus on the following:

· Lead the development, coordination, delivery and monitoring of CalfWays activities.

· Aggregate and oversee related R&D and extension projects under a unified workplan.

· Secure co-funding and drive partnerships across dairy and beef industries.

· Engage widely with producers, processors, retailers, government and other stakeholders.

· Establish and deliver a Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement (MERI) framework.

Location Flexibility:

We are open to candidates based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Armidale. Please note that depending on your location, some intermittent travel may be required to effectively engage stakeholders and support regional implementation.

Our Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, we believe you will have the following:

· Understanding of the beef and/or dairy industries.

· Strong background in project management, stakeholder engagement and securing co-investment.

· Proven leadership working across complex agricultural supply chains.

· Excellent communication, facilitation and strategic negotiation skills.

· Ability to build and manage partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

· Relevant tertiary qualifications.
