- Located at our Ops Centre - 1 Sugargum Drv, Altona
- Permanent, Full time with RDO
- Salary: Band 3 - $63,329.67 to $67,440.70 + 11.5% super
We are looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join the Hobsons Bay City Council’s Parks department as a member of our Parks Maintenance team.
As the successful applicant. you will be part of a team of like-minded people responsible for the daily maintenance and presentation of Hobsons Bay City Councils unique and varied open spaces.
What you’ll be working on
- Perform horticultural and park maintenance tasks, including mowing, garden care, weeding and mulching.
- Operate and maintain mechanical plant and equipment.
- Record work outputs and maintenance requests in Council systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and conduct site-specific Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Contribute positively to team operations and provide on-the-job training as needed.
What you need to succeed
- Trade Certificate in Horticulture or relevant experience.
- Victorian Driver’s License (MR truck endorsement preferred).
- Preferred certifications: Agricultural Chemical Users Permit, Chainsaw License, First Aid Certificate.
