Description
Your Impact:
As a full time Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in providing commercial support and business partnering to Managers across the organisation. This position will work closely across the entire organisation with all stakeholders to collaboratively develop budgets, provide value added analysis and provide financial forecasts and reports. This position will provide support and guidance to part qualified accountants to ensure the work is complete.
What you'll do:
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the financial information for the organisation
- Perform month end journals, cost reallocations, Prepayments and accruals journals
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform in-depth checks on the validity of the monthly P&L
- Fixed Asset Accounting, including clearing the Asset Clearing account monthly
- Perform monthly lease accounting reconciliations
- Reconcile and lodge NDIS claims Work with NDIS Team to ensure NDIS income is maximised
- Prepare BAS and FBT returns
- Grant Accounting – reconciliation and acquittal reports
- Revenue recognition responsibilities with respect to operating income and Grants
- Work with NDIS Team to ensure NDIS income is maximised
- Liaise with and provide information to auditors
- Support the Financial Controller with the annual financial audit programme with the company’s external auditors
- Play a key role with the annual 3 year business planning and budgeting process
- Work with the Financial Controller to improve and update the Finance Systems & processes
- Supervise and direct the work tasks of two part qualified Accountants, to ensure month end tasks are completed on time
- Work alongside the Business Analysts to review and provide business insights on performance
Skills And Experiences
What you'll bring:
- CPA qualified CA post graduate qualification
- Tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Commerce or Finance
- Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
- Proactive and problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organisation
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
- Able to challenge assumptions and maintain professional independence
