Description:
The Executive Support Officer provides efficient and confidential administrative support and project-based services that contribute to the achievement of business goals and the effective management of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Corporate Services.The role is required to respond to enquiries from internal and external clients; maintain and update databases and other information systems; undertake record management duties; assist with financial and human resource (HR) processing activities; provide support for project delivery; and also support the Manager, Correspondence as required.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated high level administrative skills and the ability to provide effective and efficient administrative support; with proven capabilities in the use of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire a knowledge and understanding of the MINCOR document tracking system.
- Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the proven ability to identify, analyse and resolve issues through the development and implementation of innovative solutions and business improvement initiatives that achieve organisational objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to organise, plan and prioritise workloads to achieve outcomes and meet deadlines; display initiative and self-motivation to complete complex tasks; and a proven commitment to the provision of high-quality customer service.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to effectively consult, negotiate, collaborate, and build productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
