We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or well versed Financial Accountant ready to take that next step in joining a dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will possess strong financial accounting skills and either a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape or be passionate about their expertise and what they do functionally. Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounting cycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Data integration and variance analysis.
- Manage financial information and data.
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Lead the financial analysis and forecasting processes, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and support any auditing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis across the organisation.
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller to enhance accounting systems and improve reporting processes.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and BAS statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work with other departments as part of a broader team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the financial services or cryptocurrency industries however other industries will absolutely be considered.
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and reporting requirements.
- High proficiency in accounting software and tools (experience with Oracle Netsuite is a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- A proactive approach to financial management and compliance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- A deep interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology will be highly regarded.
