About the role
- The purpose of this role is to provide the Director of Nursing with a high level of confidential administrative support, including the organisation and management of matters referred to the Director of Nursing.
- The role provides administrative support to Nurse Mangers within MN PACH. Liaison is required with a range of Departmental/Health Service/Community/ Hospital personnel and clients.
- MN PACH is a business continuity model working with Emergency Management & Business Continuity (EMBC) to support the HHS.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Act as the primary point of contact for MN PACH with all internal and external stakeholders for incoming and outgoing communication.
- Perform confidential administrative duties as required by the Director of Nursing and operate with a high level of independence. As well as the ability to set realistic work goals and objectives, effectively prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion and the meeting of deadlines.
- Provide high level diary management, negotiating and organising meeting times, locations, and planning schedules ahead of time and perform secretariat functions by coordinating, producing, and distributing agendas, minutes and any relevant documents as required.
- Undertake project assistance and implementation as required by the Director of Nursing.
- Receive and host visitors to and on behalf of the team, dealing with inquiries on a wide range of topics.
- Liaise on behalf of the Director of Nursing by telephone, and in person, with a range of Departmental/Health Services/Community/ Hospital personnel and private agencies using discretion, tact and diplomacy take follow up action where necessary.
