About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic an Allied Health Assistant (Lifestyle Officer)s to join our CO-ACT team. In this role, you will work closely with the Lifestyle Activity Coordinator to plan and deliver group sessions that focus on supporting and maintaining the functional abilities of our patients. With a patient-centred approach, you'll help create engaging, meaningful activities that promote social connection, independence, and enjoyment for older adults across our service.
Working on a flexible 7-day roster , you will primarily facilitate group-based programs while also collaborating with allied health professionals to deliver targeted care as needed. About You
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Allied Health Assistant (Lifestyle Officer) who brings a collaborative approach and a commitment to quality care. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and build trust within a diverse, multidisciplinary team and with patients from various cultural backgrounds.
- Adaptability and Accountability: Proven ability to take initiative, handle routine tasks efficiently, and exercise personal responsibility for achieving team goals and fostering a positive team culture.
- Commitment to Professional Growth: Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and a dedication to following policies and procedures that ensure safe, ethical, and confidential care.
- Relevant Experience and Knowledge: Experience in a service environment with knowledge of community services, welfare benefits, and resources, along with an understanding of patient confidentiality and ethical practices.
