About the roleWorking in partnership with our National HR Manager’s across our distribution and processing businesses, this newly created HR Coordinator role will be responsible for providing support to employees and business leaders on HR administrative tasks across multiple sites. Additionally, this role will actively contribute to key strategic HR initiatives and projects and the execution of our overall Human Resources strategy.
This is a part time role, working 3 days per week on a fixed term 18 month contract.Flexibility to work at different sites within the metro area will be required.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Assist with workplace investigations and disciplinary processes, including minute-taking, documentation collation, and follow-up actions
• Support Enterprise Agreement (EA) preparation, such as drafting comms, organising consultation meetings, and maintaining relevant trackers
• Provide recruitment administrative support: prepare interview guides, support leaders with interviews, preparing onboarding documentation and packs
• Administer Labour Hire employee onboarding and tracking including compliance checks, ID collection, and weekly reconciliation
• Support the exit and offboarding process including coordination of exit interviews and reporting on key themes
• Contribute to key strategic projects (e.g., culture initiatives, leadership development actions, and capability uplift programs)
This part-time opportunity is ideal for a student pursuing a HR qualification, offering valuable hands-on experience to develop HR skills whilst completing relevant studies. The successful candidate will benefit from structured mentorship and broad exposure across multiple business units, setting the foundation for a strong career in HR.
Qualifications and experience:
• A collaborative team player with a strong desire to learn and adapt
• A genuine interest in Human Resources and currently working towards a HR qualification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An understanding of the Fair Work Act, Awards, Employment relations and HR policies
• Demonstrated administrative experience
• Ability to prioritise work load and conflicting deadlines
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with staff across all levels of the business
• Able to provide and receive instruction from other team members.
• Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information
• A current drivers licence and own transport
