Overview

We’re looking for Senior Test Analyst professionals who are driven and passionate about Testing and Quality, who can lead the analysis, design, planning, preparation and execution of testing across an enterprise scale application landscape. A strong background in super, insurance and financial systems will be highly advantageous.

  • Multiple Opportunities - 6-month day rate contract role
  • Melbourne or Parramatta based

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake Test Execution, Test planning, scope the testing required, estimate the effort and duration of testing, and determine resource and environment requirements.
  • Ensure that all Testing activities for an assigned project are successfully delivered according to an agreed project plan / schedule, and meets identified success criteria and are therefore fit for purpose.
  • Build relationships and liaise closely with Project Managers, Developers, Business Systems Analysts, Support staff and the Business community to ensure that testing activities are fully communicated / reported and stakeholders are regularly informed.
  • Review project business requirements, technical specifications, end to end Business Processes and solution design documents, highlighting any gaps or potential improvements and feed into Test planning and test case artefacts.
  • Review the Test Strategy document and support the Test Lead / Test Manager in the implementation of the strategy, including scope identification, test coverage, resource assignments, environments, scheduling, data provision and defect management
  • Map Requirements to test cases in Application Lifecycle Management tool (ALM) including associated test steps and test data. These planning activities will ensure systems conform to design documentation and standards describing functionality, robustness, data integrity and other technical attributes.
  • Review test cases produced by Test Analysts to ensure correct standards are applied and test coverage is achieved.
  • If required, co-ordinate assigned test execution with Business SMEs, utilising test cases developed. Perform / support user acceptance / business process testing, and E2E testing. Assist with the planning and co-ordination of test execution with Business SMEs.
  • Raise defects and track them to closure within the set timeframes, thereby minimizing any impacts on delivery of test execution.
  • Play key role in the analysis and reporting of test results, working closely with business, technology and support area
  • s to investigate and interpret test findings.
  • Assist with the management / co-ordination of testing activities and test data within assigned test environments
  • Expected to follow the test processes and procedures that are defined within the Testing practice framework,
  • Actively participate in driving continuous improvement measures to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Testing
  • Provide input to estimates of testing effort on change requests with a level of accuracy to +/-10%.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced testing resources assigned.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate the case for investments and alternatives in the language of business.

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in a test role including UAT and SIT with a preferred experience of 4 years in managing testing deliverables across test phases.
  • Experience working in complex financial services environments covering new report project outcomes, business process changes, workflow and messaging testing
  • Experience in working in a captive model will be highly advantageous
  • Testing experience across various test phases including Functional testing, Systems and Systems Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing.
  • An innovative and driven professional who is able to contribute to a continuous improvement process.
  • Demonstrates leadership and team engendering qualities, including the willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Exceptional analytical skills in order to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and provide constructive input into the project
  • A forward thinker who can think Shift Left and has the ability to Analyze, Translate and prioritize business requirement into a strategic testing requirement within the defined framework.
  • Experience in API / Web services / Microservice testing is highly desirable, along with knowledge of Swagger tool and its usage for webservice testing.
  • Experience in JavaScript, REACT framework is desirable
  • Experience in automation Tools such as Selenium, SOAP UI or others are highly desirable
  • Experience in Superannuation/Insurance/BFSI/Wealth management highly desirable
  • Working experience in PEGA, ERP, CRM or similar applications is preferable
  • Certification in Domain/Testing/Delivery methodology like ISTQB, Agile, ASFA highly desirable
