About the role
The Royal Victorian Aero Club (RVAC) is looking for a collaborative, motivated and capable RTO Compliance and Student Administratorto join our team. You will manage the day to day operations and compliance of our small training organisation including managing student administration. Reporting directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors, as the key contact both internally and externally for all RTO, VSL and Cricos matters, this role plays a crucial role within the organisation, as it involves overseeing our most valuable resource, the pilots of the future. The role is at the Royal Victorian Aero Club's Moorabbin Airport location.
Ideally the role will cover 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), although the hours of work are flexible. The role is ideally suited for parents who wish to drop off and pick up school age children.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining comprehensive student records and ensuring compliance with RTO regulations
- Manage RTO, CRICOS, VSL registration and approvals.
- Processing student enrolments, withdrawals, and transfers and maintaining student attendance register
- Managing the student information system and generating reports
- Providing excellent customer service to students and responding to enquiries in a timely manner
- Assisting with the development and implementation of RTO policies and procedures
- Coordinating the collection and storage of student assessments and other documentation
- Liaising with regulatory bodies and auditors to demonstrate compliance
- Supporting the continuous improvement of RTO operations and student experience
- Support the Flight Operations department and Reception as required, including taking bookings, answering enquiries, completing customer transactions and taking payments
Requirements & Attributes
- Solid Knowledge of RTO Regulatory Requirements including ESOS, VSL and VETiS
- Demonstrated experience in student administration or RTO compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using student information systems and data management
- Good knowledge of PC applications, including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively as part of a team
- Whilst not essential, a knowledge of the aviation industry and regulations would be looked upon favourably.
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain both a National Police Check and a Working with Children check.
