Growth of our services in the South-East Sydney region has created casual Disability Support Worker opportunities in our Residential Services. Operating within South-East Sydney (Miranda, Barden Ridge, Caringbah, Gymea, Peakhurst), we are seeking those who have availability to work a variety of shifts over a 24/7 roster working across morning, afternoon, nights with shift work. active nights and sleepovers included.
About the Role:
We are looking for passionate and highly motivated Disability Support Workers to add value to our team. You will assist people with a range of daily living tasks to meet the individual needs and goals of our participants. This involves:
- Delivering personal care including showering, toileting, and dressing
- Preparing and assisting with meal preparation and eating
- Administering medication and offering mobility assistance
- Supporting participants with attendance at appointments and community-based events
- Offering meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their goals
About You:
- Genuine desire to provide person-centred care for people with disability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven computer skills
- Initiative and drive to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Flexible availability and willingness to work across the South-East Sydney region
- Ideally, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and/or experience in a similar role
- Willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Check, and Working With Children Check
- Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
