As the Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and support of the Azure Cloud platform for the organisation
This key role requires a proactive and strategic mindset, with a strong focus on security and Automation to ensure a scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the Azure Cloud Platform while ensuring security best practices.
- Work alongside the DevOps team to assure CI/CD pipelines and leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
- Provide hands-on technical support for Azure services, including Azure AD, Azure Firewall, Key Vault, Defender, Security Centre, and Sentinel.
- Utilise monitoring tools to maintain optimal performance and cost efficiency of Azure infrastructure and services.
- Work cross-functionally with IT and business teams to optimise automation and enforce cost controls and standardisation.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Who I'm Looking For:
- 10+ years as a Senior Systems Engineer and 3+ years as a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer preferably within the financial services domain.
- Proven long tenures with current and previous companies.
- Scripting experience utilising PowerShell, Terraform or Python.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory and Internet Services.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, change, problem, and configuration management.
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
