About the role
The Material Planner plays a vital role in the daily operations of Production, serving as a bridge between Suppliers, Production, and Planning teams. This position is responsible for ordering all necessary materials, including Pulp, JRs, Packaging, and Engineering Spare Parts, to ensure alignment with the production plan. The primary objective is to guarantee that production plans are supported by high-quality raw materials, procured efficiently according to demand while adhering to lead times and lot sizes.
What you will be doing
- New Product Development : Collaborate with project teams to provide master data and supply chain insights.
- Inventory Control : Maintain inventory levels in line with SOP targets.
- Order Placement : Ensure timely purchase orders for raw materials to meet production plans.
- Supplier Liaison : Communicate with suppliers to enhance delivery performance and manage queries.
- Process Improvement : Contribute to initiatives that enhance operational processes.
- Forecast and Stock Management : Oversee forecasts, manage raw material orders, and handle stock projections.
- Invoice and Data Management : Process various invoices and manage master data updates for materials and packaging.
What will make you successful
- Experience in Production Planning /Distribution/Supply Chain/Inventory Control
- Strong SAP skills and experience.
- Able to work independently in a dynamic environment requiring individual initiative and decision making.
- An analytical person who has the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers both local and overseas, and gain a good understanding of their processes and capabilities.
