About the role
The TIS Officer is responsible for implementing local health promotional activities with a focus on tackling indigenous smoking/vaping initiatives. Work in a team environment with other health promotion staff to design, implement and monitor Congress health promotion projects. This position supports the TIS Team Leader and Health Promotion Manager to ensure reports are developed.
What are we looking for?
Someone to join our dynamic team with the following requirements:
- Is of Female Aboriginal descent; identifies as an Female Aboriginal person; and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
- Qualification to Diploma level in health promotion or public health or extensive relevant experience.
- Experience in developing and maintaining effective networks, alliances and relationships with families, individuals, communities and other health sector organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively develop, deliver population health activities, evaluate and report on projects and programs effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to use a computer and its applications at a high standard
- Current NT Drivers License or the ability to obtain
- Be a non-smoker with willingness to adhere to the Congress Smoke Free Workplace Policy.
- Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
