Description:
The Retail Manager is responsible for driving the success of RISE Bakery’s retail operations by delivering an outstanding shopping experience, increasing sales, and maintaining efficient store management. This role requires a strong understanding of retail sales, merchandising, customer service, and staff management to ensure the bakery operates at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the retail team to maximise sales and enhance customer satisfaction. Provide exceptional service, product recommendations, and resolve any customer concerns professionally.
- Manage the daily operations of the bakery’s retail space, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets business objectives.
- Maintain an inviting and well-organized store layout. Ensure bakery products are attractively displayed, well-stocked, and promoted effectively.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing retail team. Oversee scheduling to optimize staffing levels for peak business hours.
- Monitor stock levels, and implement waste reduction strategies. Ensure inventory is well-managed to meet customer demand without excessive surplus.
- Ensure all retail activities adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations. Maintain product quality and presentation standards.
- Track retail sales performance, manage cash handling, and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Implement in-store promotions, collaborate on marketing initiatives, and enhance the bakery’s brand presence through local engagement and digital platforms.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A level of skill commensurate with an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or, at least three years’ relevant experience in lieu of qualifications.
- Strong leadership, sales, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management
- Strong merchandising abilities with an eye for visual presentation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Understanding of retail compliance, health, and food safety regulations.
Salary: $73,150 - $80,000 + Superannuation
