Your Opportunity
You will join a business that offers outstanding flexibility with 2-3 days WFH with a CFO who understands that life happens outside of the office. There are unavoidable morning meetings with international partners however once completed then you have further flexibility around start / finish, with the CFO also committing to the school run such is their mature approach.
Speaking of the CFO, you will work directly with them. They're keen for you to create a close working relationship where you will be able to learn from them; they have a strong background in Finance, from which your skills and experience will develop. In person, they're down-to-earth and extremely approachable - you'll enjoying working with them.
You will be joining a Technology business that adapts continuously to the needs of their customers through cutting edge innovation. They partner with their clients to provide them with outstanding service, and this has seen them grow to be represented on a global basis. Due to their international representation, you will partner daily with colleagues from around the world giving you huge exposure to cross-border collaboration.
What You'll Do:
You will assume a highly visible and important position as you manage the financial operations of local entities in Australia while providing expert support to international partners. You will be hands-on with:
- Local Entity Management: Oversee balance sheet management, R&D tax reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Global Finance Support: Assist with financial statement consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and pricing/bid reviews.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare forecasts, budgets, cash flow management and financial reports
- Month-end and year-end closing
- Process Improvement: Optimise financial systems for greater efficiency
Who You Are:
You must be an exceptionally strong and clear communicator - a natural Business Partner. This position will put you at the forefront of operations within international partners, so it is crucial that your communication is easily understood by them.
In addition, we require the following:
- Fully qualified accountant
- Advanced Excel
- Power BI is advantageous but at the minimum a strong ability with systems and reporting tools
- A commercial and strategic mindset
- A clear and confident communicator
- Understanding of multinational finance environments is highly regarded
