Description:
The Department is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team that will modernise the departments database systems, integrated services, and applications to improve the staff experience and make regulatory activities more efficient.
Working closely with the Product Manager and the wider team, the Delivery Manager is expected to set the tone for success, including team cadence, scrums, rituals and common priorities in relation to the prioritisation of work. The Delivery Manager will also ensure that all products are built to an appropriate level of quality.
RequirementsResponsible for making sure the team is set up to deliver. This includes planning, ensure the backlog can be delivered, removing blockers for the team, supporting governance, finances, resourcing and procurement, and creating an environment of continuous improvement. Delivery managers facilitate regular team agile events, like sprint planning and retrospectives. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the digital services that meet the product vision.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaboration and alignment on objectives.
- Lead collaborative quarterly planning processes.
- Facilitate team ceremonies like stand-up, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Oversee implementation of modernised database systems, services, and user interfaces.
- Manage integrated system and infrastructure change dependencies.
- Proactively manage blockers, risks, and issues to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate delivery progress and status to key stakeholders.
