We are seeking an experienced and proactive Practice Manager to work in our growing healthcare business. The role will be based at a premier Private Hospital Emergency Department in Brisbane.

Established in 2016, Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) is the largest provider of outsourced private emergency departments to hospital partners within Australia. We are a growing organisation with lots of upcoming opportunities. PEHA is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Emergency Departments and for providing a superior level of emergency care to patients. The ideal candidate will have significant business and administrative skills, including the ability to manage Medicare billing and Practice finances. The successful applicant will ideally be experienced in liaising with a team of doctors and delivering high-quality practice support. We are looking for a professional, organised individual who strives for excellence.
What's involved:
- Day-to-day practice operations with well-developed medical administrative and operational skills
- Provide the doctors with day-to-day administrative support
- Coordinating the doctor roster in conjunction with PEHAs Medical Recruitment Specialist,
- Managing travel and accommodation requirements when required
- Work closely with the Emergency Department Site Director for smooth practice operations
- Collaborate with the hospital administration team to manage daily tasks
- Function in a highly organised and time-efficient manner
- Manage practice finances and prepare financial reports.
- Proactively manage Medicare and DVA billing and submissions.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the hospital administration and executive teams.
- Act independently and make appropriate decisions with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrate positive cultural leadership within a service environment
You'll need the following:
• Previous experience as a practice manager or senior administrator
• Thorough understanding of medical administration
• Highly developed people skills.
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of Medicare, DVA and WorkCover payments and processes
• Knowledge of medical management systems
• Ability to analyse and solve problems.
Desirable but not required
• Tertiary qualification in Practice Management or equivalent
• Knowledge of MedTech would be an advantage.
• Ideally, you will have experience managing a clinic with 5+ doctors.
