Join the Harness Energy Services Team – Electrical-Instrumentation Technicians in QueenslandHarness Energy is recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced Machinists to support the Upstream Turnaround Logistics team in Surat Basin. This is a short-term turnaround project , offering 12-hour shifts in a high-performing environment.
About the Role:
As a Machinist, you will play a key role in the annual turnaround plan, ensuring the efficient and safe assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical components and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flange alignment, tightening, bolt tensioning, and torquing
- Pre-assembly and post-assembly checks
- Leak testing, purging, and supporting isolations
- Cold cutting of pipes and flanges (clamshell cutters)
- Operating portable machining tools (flange facing, pipe cutting, bevelling)
- Inspecting and repairing rotating/static equipment (pumps, valves, piping)
- Ensuring safety compliance at all times
Open Australian Driver’s License (required)
- QGC Gas Test Atmospheres training (preferred)
- QGC Permit Holder training (preferred)
- Flange management certification
- Strong safety leadership and ability to supervise a small team
- Physically fit and able to work long shifts
