Description:
The Internal Audit, Risk and Governance (IARG) Branch, within the CEO Office, is a unique branch with touch points to all other teams across the agency. The Branch assists the CEO to meet the Governance responsibilities of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and the Commonwealth Risk Management Policy through maintaining the Corporate Governance Framework and managing some of its supporting components. This includes managing Austrade's two main governance committees: the Executive Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee. In addition, the Branch also manages the enterprise risk framework, the business continuity management framework, engagement with the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) and the internal audit function.The key duties of the position include
- Developing, implementing and maintaining governance and compliance policies, processes and procedures
- Providing secretariat support for the Audit & Risk, and Executive Committee meetings
- Overseeing the planning, design, implementation and management of the enterprise risk framework and the annual Agency Risk Management plan
- Overseeing the planning, design, implementation and management of the Agency Business Continuity Management Framework and supporting plans
- Developing and managing Austrade's annual internal audit program.
