About the Role

Within the PwC Private audit team, you’ll find yourself in a culture that values curiosity, collaboration and critical thinking. Alongside your peers, you’ll understand and resolve complex issues being faced by a diverse range of privately owned organisations from large multi-generational family owned businesses to private equity owned enterprises. You will work with our clients at different stages of their business lifecycle, from start ups to mature privately owned businesses, understanding their operations, strategy and challenges they face to provide them with meaningful solutions by delivering a wide range of audit and audit-related services.

Our Canberra team is expanding and we’re looking for a senior external auditor to join our vast community of solvers. With flexible working options and market leading benefits, bring our purpose to life by helping clients solve their important problems.

You’ll help solve complex problems by using skills in:

  • External auditing, financial statement assessments, and compliance with standards and regulations.

  • Analysing, identifying and resolving complex business issues with effective strategies.

  • Thriving in a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and driving innovation.

  • Maintaining a commitment to integrity, ethical behavior, and building trust with clients and stakeholders.

  • Building an effective, fun and collaborative team environment through job coaching, participating in formal training and other professional development opportunities.

  • Developing your technical knowledge and interpersonal skills through formal and practical based learning.

  • Enabling our clients to mitigate financial risk by recognising potential problem areas.

  • Fostering trusted client relationships and identifying new relationships to help them achieve their unique business aspirations.

  • Identifying future opportunities for clients by developing collaborative relationships and anticipating their business needs.

In our team, your impact will be seen by:

  • Executing all aspects of audit of financial reporting for privately owned organisations.

  • Working with other teams to collaborate and develop Financial Audit strategies and methodologies.

  • Analysing and documenting internal controls and control environments.

  • Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues and building internal relationships.
