Seven Hills West Public School is located in a well-established residential area in Sydney's west and is part of the wider Blacktown community (enrolment of 380 students, including mainstream classes, support classes for students with special learning needs and a preschool). The school is well supported by a diverse and multicultural community. The school has an increasing enrolment of students with a Language Background Other Than English (LBOTE), which currently stands at 74% and 19 students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Seven Hills West Public School has a culture of high expectations, embracing the whole child and their development through a comprehensive range of extracurricular opportunities including those in creative arts and sport. Students enjoy a nurturing, stimulating and supportive school environment, where they learn and thrive in their interactions with staff and peers. 1. Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with demonstrated quality teaching practice in literacy and numeracy, leading to student achievement.

2. Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum using evidence-based practices to program and support the needs of all students.

3. Demonstrated ability to use innovative practices to contribute to and develop programs that strengthen student well-being and increase engagement.

4. Highly developed communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work flexibly as part of a collaborative team to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the broader community.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
