  • Temporary full-time role up until 27 March 2026 (with a possibility of extension or ongoing conversion for the successful candidate)
  • Located in Parramatta

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Senior Information Systems Officer, reporting to the Manager Information Systems within the Heritage NSW Customer Service branch.

The Conservation Programs, Heritage & Regulation Group within Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) brings together a range of functions including cultural heritage management, , biodiversity and conservation, and compliance.

Supported by the Manager of the Information Management Systems team you will lead and manage the delivery, development and maintenance of information systems, users and data to support the delivery of heritage programs, the strategic direction of Heritage NSW and meet customer needs. You will provide expert technical guidance and advice on business information technology issues to contribute toward the broader conservation, planning and regulatory management of heritage values within the organisation and across government.

About You

You’ll have a combination of technical experience and leadership skills. You will make an important contribution to team culture, collaborating with the Manager and your fellow Team Leader to drive great heritage outcomes in line with organisational goals.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science, information technology or similar with extensive experience managing and leading information or digital system enhancement programs
  • Experience in the use of a range of computer applications, including information and business systems.
