Key responsibilities
• Provide advice to the Development Assessment and Corridor Management Team for applications made to TMR under the Planning Act, Transport Infrastructure Act (TIA) and various public utility acts (Commonwealth and State) in the areas of access and works, management of development and third-party impacts and the management of road infrastructure planning and upgrades initiated by TMR, Local Government and/or utility providers.
• Implementation of a risk management approach including site visits with applicants, service authorities and consultants and contractors, to formalise the conditions for construction, approve, reject or condition corridor and PUP activities and structures within the road corridor.
• Coordinate road corridor permits to contain necessary conditions allowing third party and PUP entities to access State controlled roads, to install, modify, operate and remove plant within State controlled roads.
• PUP management on road corridor projects throughout the life cycle of projects.
• Contribute to an efficient road network with minimum environmental impact, minimum net public costs and high standards of safety.
• Manage the works so that they are completed in accordance with required timeframes, cost, quality and service standards.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.
• A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence
Requirements of the role
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, guidelines, standards and industry practices relating to Corridor Management including Development Assessment and Public Utility and Plant providers applied to state road corridors.
• Thorough knowledge and experience of public utility plant and road infrastructure construction methodology, planning principals and application of relevant acts, policies, and guidelines.
• Provides clear and concise advice that is rigorously considered and supported by a clear rationale.
• Build and sustain networks and relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer-focused outcomes.
• Demonstrate leadership skills to support a high-performance team to manage workloads and provide support to team members to empower them to make decisions.
