As the Auction and Customer Service Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of managing our ever rapidly growing sports auction platform and delivering exceptional customer service. Your role will centre on ensuring seamless auction operations—collaborating with clubs and organisations to procure exclusive items, crafting compelling descriptions, launching auctions and ensuring smooth delivery to customers. You’ll also play a key role in delighting customers, enhancing their experience, and building strong relationships with rights holders and collector. From coordinating auction logistics to overseeing the end-to-end customer journey, you’ll be the key to keeping everything running smoothly.

While auctions will be a primary focus, this role extends beyond auctions, working across retail customer service alongside our wider team. Your organisational skills, problem-solving ability, and passion for sports will set you up for success in this dynamic and multifaceted role.

Key Responsibilities:

Auction Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of sports auctions, ensuring timely setup, accurate product listings and seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with rights holders, sports organisations, and internal teams to secure auction inventory and deliver standout events.
  • Coordinate logistics, from product intake and cataloguing to shipping and post-auction reporting.
  • Monitor auction performance, using data to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Ensure auction systems and tools are optimized for performance, compliance, and user experience.

Customer Service:

  • Play a vital role within our customer service team, supporting the delivery of exceptional service and fostering a customer-first culture.
  • Serve as the primary contact for auction-related customer service, managing inquiries and ensuring timely servicing.
  • Work across the retail side offering of Official Memorabilia to support customer service operations, maintaining high standards of satisfaction for both auction and retail customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Support and guide team members on best practices, including the use of auction tools, retail systems, and compliance procedures.

Systems Management:

  • Administer auction and customer management tools, including inventory tracking and workflow systems.
  • Ensure team compliance with operational standards, quality benchmarks, and service protocols.
  • Drive performance improvements through regular reporting, analysis, and service enhancement projects.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: At least 2 years in customer service or operations.
  • Digital Proficiency: Strong skills in customer management systems, data input, and reporting tools. Familiarity with workflow platforms like Asana is a bonus, and experience with Adobe Photoshop is advantageous.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering solutions that prioritise customer needs.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Adaptability: A flexible mindset to navigate dynamic challenges and priorities.
