About the Company
We are partnering with a market leader in industrial automation products who manufacture products and solutions for the electrical and automation space. The Australian arm of their business is currently performing above market averages as they continue to innovate and deliver new products to market.
About the Role
The State Sales Manager will be responsible for driving profitable sales within the VIC region, maintaining strong relationships with key customers, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive strategy and P&L for the business in Victoria
  • Manage key and major accounts, ensuring exceptional service and business growth.
  • Contribute to sales policy development, including product line adjustments and pricing strategies.
  • Assist in preparing annual business plans, budgets, and quotes.
  • Optimise product and service distribution for maximum profitability and an ideal product mix.
  • Identify new market opportunities and work closely with senior management and product teams.
  • Support product launches, promotional activities, and staff training.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate forecasting and timely product deliveries.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the sales team’s performance.
  • Ensure continuous staff development and product knowledge updates.
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching as needed.
About You
  • Degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a relevant industry or target market.
  • Proven track record in business development and technical sales.
  • Experience in industrial automation product sales.
  • Strong people management skills, with preferred experience leading a team.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic thinking.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: circa $140k + Super + Car, Fuel Card (or vehicle allowance) & Bonus
Location: Tullamarine, VIC
