Clever Care NOW (CCN) are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Physiotherapists to provide support to clients living in their homes across Sydney’s Southern and Eastern Suburbs. We offer flexibility and variety of shifts to suit individual work/life commitments. Casual shifts will be offered Monday to Friday with the view to transition to permanent employment in the future. About CCN:

For over 60 years, Clever Care NOW has been caring for the community. We operate on a not-for-profit basis and provide in-home care, private and mobile nursing, personal care, assisted transport, physiotherapy and day trips to ensure our clients can live at home independently for as long as possible.

About the role:

This position will play a pivotal role in evaluating and delivering evidence-based care to customers post-surgery, aging and those suffering from chronic conditions in a home care environment. The Physiotherapist will establish treatment plans and teat customers using a variety of methods including exercises, stretching manoeuvres, hands-on therapy and equipment, to ease pain and help increase mobility.

We are seeking individuals who have a strong customer focus, who are self-reliant and comfortable to work independently, under minimal supervision. The role will provide supportive, respectful and quality care that aligns with the Aged Care standards of practice as well as guidelines set out by AHPRA.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the wider team to co-ordinate timely and best practice assessment, care, and advice to our customers within their own home.
  • Participate in clinical review and re-assessment, process improvement, documentation and monitoring of customer services.
  • Support a culture of performance improvement and continuing evaluation.
  • Provide high-quality and evidence-based treatment.
  • Develop individual exercise programs which encourage independence and reablement.
  • Develop a person-centered approach to therapy that promotes and maximises independence and function.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers and families, respecting patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture through respectful and supportive communication.

Essential criteria:

Demonstrating experience in a similar role, you will have high level communication skills with a dedication to the provision of quality care. Further, you will hold:

  • Physiotherapy Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent as approved by AHPRA.
  • Current Immunisation Certificate.
  • Current NSW driver’s licence (category C), unrestricted, with a safe driving record.
  • Current NDIS Worker Check.
  • BLS, CPR and First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience working in an aged care environment (desirable).
  • Have own transport / car (mileage will be reimbursed).
