Position Description

The Senior Project Financial Controller will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

About the Role

The Senior Project Financial Controller will:

* Direct all daily finance and accounting activities, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and payroll.

* Prepare and analyze financial reports for Business Units (BU), working closely with the Corporate Finance Department for transaction processing.

* Liaise with the Project Manager, Department Heads, Business Units, and IT Department, providing guidelines and resources to support profitable growth at various levels.

* Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including GAAP or IFRS.

* Oversee the accounting department, including AP, AR, and payroll functions.

* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.

* Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

* Coordinate the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.

* Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections.

* Manage cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds as needed.

* Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.

* Protect company assets by monitoring and enforcing internal controls.

* Ensure the accuracy of company cash flow forecasts.

* Manage payroll tax, PAYG, and other tax compliance requirements for Sync Lift Engineering.

Requirements

CPA / CA or equivalent professional qualification.

10 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial management role.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP system.

Strong analytical, variance reporting, and cost modeling skills.
