Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Wholesale to drive international expansion, with a strong focus on the US market. This role is pivotal in scaling global wholesale operations, strengthening key retail partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth across multiple channels.
Strategic Growth & International Expansion
- Develop and execute global wholesale strategies, with a primary focus on the US, ME, and European markets.
- Identify and establish new retail and marketplace partnerships, securing premium stockists in key international regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-end department stores, specialty boutiques, and major retail chains in target markets.
- Oversee seasonal collection showings in international fashion hubs, attending key trade shows and negotiating with top buyers.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive insights, and expansion opportunities in the global fashion landscape.
- Own the wholesale P&L, setting and managing ambitious revenue targets while ensuring strong profit margins.
- Drive sell-through optimization, ensuring effective inventory management and in-season reorders to maximize sales potential.
- Collaborate with design, production, and planning teams to align product offerings with regional market preferences and ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Analyze sales data, market insights, and competitor performance to refine wholesale strategies and drive long-term growth.
- Leverage extensive experience in the US fashion wholesale market to establish and strengthen partnerships with top retailers.
- Navigate US retail dynamics, including department store buying cycles, showroom strategies, and wholesale distribution models.
- Drive strategic entry into key US multi-brand retailers, online platforms, and brick-and-mortar stores.
- Ensure all logistics, compliance, and operational frameworks align with US wholesale requirements.
- Lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Oversee wholesale operations from order placement to fulfillment, ensuring seamless execution across regions.
- Partner with digital and e-commerce teams to drive omnichannel strategies, aligning wholesale with direct-to-consumer efforts.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all wholesale partners uphold the brand’s luxury positioning and values.
- Minimum 5 years of international wholesale experience, with a strong focus on the US market.
- Proven success in driving global sales growth, securing high-profile retail accounts, and expanding brand presence.
- Strong industry connections with top-tier buyers, department stores, and specialty boutiques in the US and beyond.
- Strategic mindset with a data-driven approach to sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Experience in luxury fashion, apparel, or accessories is essential.
- Proficiency in wholesale platforms such as Joor, Apparel 21, and ERP systems.
- Exceptional negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel internationally for market visits, trade shows, and key account meetings.
