The Senior Project Officer is a senior member of the Monitoring and Assurance Unit and is responsible for leading OBRM's reporting and improvement functions to generate awareness of the insights from monitoring and evaluation activities, strengthen community understanding of bushfire risk and how it is managed, and encourage change in sector practice that supports improved outcomes. The position also supports the delivery of other priority projects and services including the development of indicators and measures for monitoring and evaluating progress against the outcomes of Victoria's Bushfire Management Strategy and the implementation of OBRM's Assurance Framework.
The position works collaboratively across Bushfire and Forest Services Group and with partner agencies, building relationships to further OBRM's strategic objectives. The role is suited to a driven, resourceful lateral thinker with demonstrated complex project management and influence skills, the ability to communicate with impact, and a track record of delivering results.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification(s) in science, natural resource or environmental management or similar is desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with monitoring, evaluation, reporting and improvement principles and theory and data management is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience with bushfire risk management is desirable.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
